Gradation monoprint with silver colored pencil spiral drawing onto Mohawk SF cover paper, hand-cut into a circle and mounted onto Japanese handmade indigo Izumo Mingei Mitsumata. The artwork then mounted onto archival back board (Tru-Core). Signed on the back. The title & orange color refer to our second chakra, the sacral chakra, located just above the root.

Drawing spirals has long been a favorite meditation of mine, for clearing the mind and being present while focused on a slow, repetitive movement that produces marks on paper. The experience is indeed one of “flow.”
