marking temporary 2024
Celebrating the first artist book / press book to be published in over a decade
A tall and thin accordion book by Robin Price in collaboration with Jolene Leuchten, marking temporary emerged from spontaneous exploratory practices together, often in long periods of silence, and is informed by Buddhism, kundalini yoga, and living in the shadow of environmental collapse.
A quiet meditation on the momentary experience of time and its illusory nature, marking temporary offers a minimalist approach for contemplating states of being.

Immersion into Source 1 2023
The first in a new cyanotype series in homage to the Ocean, “Immersion into Source,” this portfolio consists of five experimental mixed-media cyanotype prints onto gradation trial sheets from the edition of marking temporary. Seashells from Connecticut’s Hammonasset Beach were used to block the sun’s UV light during the exposure outdoors. Each print is approximately 12.5 x 18.5 inches, mounted onto 16.25 x 23.25 handmade Velké Losiny paper. Additional media for most prints: letterpress printing, gouache paint, colored pencil. 2023
